HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT BLOOD DONATION IN MPANDA AND AS WHERE IN TANZANIA
Now days the hospitals are facing
with shortage of safety blood that can reach the problems of the people who
lack blood. If the patient arrives at hospital, the doctor decides to advice
the relatives of the patients to donate safety blood.
In most cases these issues needs
people who can relate the blood groups with patient a thing which may leads the
patient to die due to shortage of related safety blood group.
The only way of solving social
problem is the community itself, because the problem is arising within the
community, the problem affects the particular community and the possible
solution may be established and advocated by the community. Not the external
people or world that may solve the particular problems. It is better to ask
ourselves the following question;
1.
Why do we need families?
2.
Why do we need integrative community?
3.
If one may die due to shortage of safety blood in
hospital, ask yourself why me?
4.
Can we not play part as Tanzanians to denote blood in
our districts or regions hospitals?
5.
Why might it be true, for us to discuss, advice for the
community to volunteer in the programs of Blood Donation to make sure hospital
have enough safety blood for our community?
6.
How do you think about those doctors who sell our
bloods at hospitals to other patients?
7.
May we not make the blood to be owned by the public
that patient should not buy?
In nut shell most people need
families or children who may assist their parents during their old age,
although in other ways children make family enjoyment when parents play with
their children. If so, we should
remember that families formulate the community that should be in integrative manor
and perform activities in essential will.
Recall for the Prominent
Theorists and Sociologist in the world community, according to Fedinand Tonies
when speaking about community, described it in to two;
·
Germeinschaft
This means the
community that formed togetherness or mutual relations. The people are living
dependently, example rural people
·
Gessellshaft
This also mean
the society that formed by individualism. The people are living not
independent. Example is urban people.
Also he explain that there are
two types of willing, Essential willing that the actors or people see
themselves as they are together where by one can solve the problem of others
(one may feel peoples problem as his or her own problem) and other will is
Arbitrary willing is the willing that an actor see a social group as means
further his or her individual goals.
In our life as Tanzanian we
should live in Germeinschaft and choose essential willing life so as we can
act, work, enjoy together as community.
Hence it is better for those who
will come across this reading to advice for other to involve in self volunteer
in blood donations in hospitals and other centers located for blood donation. I
have planned to have the programme of blood donation at Mpanda District just by
starting and also spread to other districts and regions. Although the only
problem facing me is the source of fund so as I can lead the program. But if
donors either internal or external donor can inform me for supporting the
program, I an sure the program will be reached positively.
MY SHORT HISTORY ON BLOOD DONATION
In my life I though that if you denote blood
there are negative effects to the body as how other people says, that why till
I reached University level I didn’t denote blood rather when reached third year
where no any problem occurred to me and no one reported with the problem
associated with the Blood donation. Although other people think that their
blood will be tested and reveal the results if they are safe or not. But from
the experience I got, the results depend from you if you need them mostly they
leave a phone numbers for communication but if you don’t need, nothing can be
revealed out about your results.
When I was third year at University of Dodoma, we as members of University of Dodoma
Sociology Student Organization (UDOMSSO) in touch with other organizations
decided to influence other students and other community members to involve in
the program of Blood Donation, where by our goals were reached but there were
people who financed it. This was done because
the deaths of students were increasing day to day due to shortage of safe blood
in hospitals.
Me, Charles E. Mwakalunde, I
involved as my first time donation. It was on 10th June, 2012 the
doctor involved was Piter Chomo (+255 715 339282) and my Blood bank number was
14202322
NOTE SHORT HISTORY FOR A DONOR
A body has 5.5 liter of blood of
which only 350mls-450mls are taken depending to weight of the donor. A donor
should be of 18-35 years and weight stating from 50kg to above. Also the body
temperature and pressure should be normal whereas both men and women may
denote. Donors who can be excluded are
those with Epilepsy, Psychotic disorder, Abnormal bleeding tendencies. Donor
with Malaria, Syphilis after recovery with 3-6 months gap is allowed to involve
the program. People undergone Surgery, blood transfusions may safely denote
blood after 6-12 months.
The restoring of blood is done
within 24 hours and the hemoglobin and cell components are restored in 2
months. Hence it is advised that, it is safe to denote blood after 3 months. My
